The January 6 attack on the Capitol spawned calls to give domestic extremists the “post-9/11” treatment, creating a domestic “War on Terror” to mimic the one abroad. But, according to Prof. Abrahms, that strategy was enormously costly in lives and treasure, and actually created an atmosphere in which terrorists could thrive. This is not a model for America.
