In February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine after a series of demands and counter demands among Moscow, Kiev, Washington, and several European countries. The US provided Ukraine with weapons, more than $100 billion in aid, and political support including an invitation for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to appear before Congress.

The military and political battles were front page news… until they weren’t.
